Carl has been sculpting professionally for over 25 years, drawing his inspiration from the natural world surrounding his Suffolk home.
Carl spends time sketching, photographing and observing native British wildlife to embody the animal’s movements and character in his pieces. The Suffolk landscape and environment provides many different habitats that contain a vast range of animal life to study. Carl finds estuaries particularly interesting with migrating birdlife giving more species to study.
All sculptures are initially produced in clay and are known as ‘masters’. Once completed, a mould is produced and then limited editions are cast in either pewter, bronze or bronze resin.
