“My love of art started at an early age and grew with me. Whilst I was in full time employment it bubbled away in the background. In 1996 I took a BA Art degree course under private tutelage. In 2002, with new artistic principles and understanding my painting took on a more significant role. I studied art history for two years at the UEA and received private tuition for painting and drawing. I recently attended several courses at The Art Academy in London for portraiture and last year I took early retirement from the NHS to concentrate fully on my painting career.”
“I work primarily in oil but also use charcoal, pencil and occasionally collage. I specialise in portraiture and love to paint animals, particularly of the canine or feline variety. Every so often I can be drawn to paint still life when the mood takes me. I often repeat and revisit subjects, particularly those that carry a personal significance. “
