Colin has loved art since childhood and over the years he received tuition from several professional artists, attending workshops and courses in watercolour, pastel, acrylic and oil painting; also, mixed media.

During 2007 he started running art classes and workshops for a small art school in Beccles, Suffolk; when Colin took early retirement from the NHS during 2013, his art commitments increased, teaching and exhibiting across East Anglia.

Subjects include portraiture, domestic animals and wildlife; landscapes, townscapes, coastal scenes and occasionally still life:  Colin avoids a stylized approach by alternating between the mediums, moving between impressionistic and more detailed forms of painting as the fancy takes him.
