These remarkable paintings of Brighton"s West Pier These remarkable paintings of Brighton"s West Pier are by the artist Gill Levin, who has been cataloguing the gradual crumbling of the structure since it was ravaged by fire. The amazing attention to detail has visitors looking closely to see if the artworks are paintings or photographs. Gill also has prints of her pier paintings as well as examples of other works in a different, less realistic style including some lovely studies of her Waveney Valley garden. Looking back on some great memories from the wonde Looking back on some great memories from the wonderful @blackshuckfestivalbungay as our exhibition 'Black Shuck and Friends' enters the final couple of days. We had an amazing presentation night with prize winners @florivot and @tobiasfordsculpture on Thursday and then on Friday @bbdrc kicked off the start of the Festival with runners retracing Shuck's journey from Blythburgh to Bungay. I've loved this exhibition, such an incredible diversity of work and we've welcomed so many new faces into the gallery. The idea behind the exhibition came from @stuartpearsonwright a super talented artist who has this amazing limited edition, hand coloured etching in the gallery. A couple of spooky but beautifully painted churchy A couple of spooky but beautifully painted churchyards in the 'Black Shuck and Friends' exhibition. '4th August 1577' by @paulzawadzki depicts the shadowy figure of Black Shuck looming over St Mary's churchyard on that fateful day, and 'The Hateful Thing' by @katewalkerartist is a swooning shadow seen in St Michael's Church, Geldeston. Exhibition continues next week from Tuesday until the last day on Saturday 19th. 10am - 4.30pm.
