Lucy Perry’s work seeks to record fleeting moments of light, pattern and colour in the natural world through painting and printmaking.  Her approach to drawing and painting is instinctively bold and expressive, sometimes using mixed media and printmaking techniques within paintings. Lucy’s love of colour is key in her vibrant and celebratory artworks which lift any interior space with feelings of joy.

“My hope is that when you hang my work in your home it will bring you moments of joyful distraction in our frantic modern world – the impetus to pause, to escape, to relax and to restore your mind.”

Lucy also explores the possibilities of the cyanotype process in her work, also known as sun prints, this process can use the power of the sun directly with the natural forms themselves to create direct responses to light and place which for part of mixed media work on canvas and paper.

Lifelong artist, Lucy Perry has been a professional Art Educator for nearly 30 years. She works from her studio in rural Norfolk and sells work to collectors in the UK, Europe and USA.
