I am a watercolour and mixed media artist specialising in illustrating fantasy and the natural world.
Since graduating with an illustration degree and moving to Bungay, I have been inspired by the natural beauty Suffolk has to offer. While I mainly use watercolour and gouache, I also enjoy exploring different textures with the use of birch tree bark. Subjects mainly include hares, stags and British birds, but I am also influenced by folklore, illustrating fantasy creatures such as jackalopes and the local legend of Black Shuck.
While I like to use elements of realistic illustration to bring life to the creatures I paint, the whimsical style I have developed over the years tends to evoke a fairytale to be told.
